Mike Handley
Mike began forming the vision and foundation for Level 5 Partners group prior to 2010. He currently is the Co-Founder and the Senior Managing Partner & Executive Director for Level 5 Partners Life Sciences Venture Creation, Capital and Management Company.
In his current role, Mike is serving as a strategic advisor, executive officer, and Board member to both the device and pharmaceutical portfolio entities within the Level 5 portfolio and is assisting them with financing, growth and commercialization strategies. Mike is also serving as President of the Northern Colorado Bioscience Association and is an Executive-in-Residence at the Rocky Mountain Innersphere.
Prior to forming Level 5 Partners, Mike has been a successful life science business professional with over 17 years of cross-functional experience in drug/device commercialization, operations, mergers/acquisitions, regulatory/clinical affairs, venture formation/financing, market development, and partnering/licensing. Mike has successfully assisted or led in the global commercialization of seventeen devices and drugs that account for over three billion dollars of sales annually. He has experience successfully leading management teams in a variety of capacities in high growth organizations and has securing millions of dollars in venture capital. Prievously, Mike has worked in leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, Vessix Vascular, Spectranetics, Accelapure, Genentech/Roche, PricewaterhouseCoopers/PRTM, Amgen, and Gliatech.
Mike graduated cum laude from Colorado State University with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Molecular Biology & Physiology and minors in Chemistry, and Neurobiology. Mike complemented his formal education by attending The Graziadio Business School at Pepperdine University Executive Management MBA Program.
